1. Prep Your Shirt
- Place shirt flat on your heat press.
- Pre-press for 5 seconds at 275–325°F to remove moisture and wrinkles. 275 for polyester & 325 for cotton.
2. Position the Transfer
- Place the DTF transfer film face-down (ink/design touching the fabric).
- Use heat tape or a positioning tool if needed to keep it in place.
3. Press Settings
- Temperature: 275–325°F (most transfers work best at 300°F).
- Pressure: Medium to firm.
- Time: 15 seconds.
4. Peel Method
- Allow the transfer to cool to a cold peel (some brands are warm peel, but most DTF is cold peel).
- Slowly peel the film away from the shirt at a low angle.
5. Final Press
- Cover the design with a parchment sheet, teflon sheet, or butcher paper.
- Press again for 5 seconds to lock in durability and smooth the finish.
